A nice original example of this early S Mint - “common” in terms of the later 1911 to 1915 dates. This is a typical pattern seen where a particular year is scarce, rare or simply “promoted” by social culture, and the following year is hoarded by the public in hopes of lightning striking twice. In this case of course I refer to the furor over the 1909-S VDB, and the removal of the offending initials. This makes the 1910-S affordable as there are more Uncirculated specimens to choose from. It is my opinion that if submitted this would most likely certify MS-64RB, however Red is not out of the question. The color of the early Lincoln’s tends to wander all over the board, so predicting what a grading service will call something is a crapshoot at best (I can however safely state that this is NOT Brown!). I might well send it in later, however it should be worth my asking price for someone who wants a nice raw BU for a set.
