Long popular as a date representing the celebration of the Centennial of the Independence of the United States. A nice original brown coin, with little if any wear. Considerable original planchet color remains on the Reverse, just a touch of wear on Liberty’s hair ribbon and cheek. Repatriated from Europe, probably an Unc coin that was saved randomly and picked up what wear there is and a few light marks while in non-numismatic storage. Scarce as a CAC coin; only 10 versus a combined PCGS/NGC Pop of about 136 coins.
