1920-S Buffalo Nickel, Choice Very Fine, Complete Horn
1920-S Buffalo Nickel, Choice Very Fine, Complete Horn
Choice Very Fine, with a complete horn. Much better struck than most of this date, with the remaining overall details close to EF. My opinion is that this is equivalent to what will normally certify VF-35, especially given how this date is normally dealt with by the grading services (look at some of the images on PCGS CoinFacts). This along with the 1924-S is almost always given a "mulligan" and certified in VF grades without a full horn. NOT a problem with this specimen, which has nice original color - the only extremely minor issues on this are some very small, light scrapes on the Reverse from where the coin slid back and forth while in a lot of coins. These should not prevent certification however. Considering that many if not most dealers would try to sell this as an "EF", my asking price should be reasonable for someone. Should you feel it necessary, please contact me for details of my extended return privilege for certification.
