A very attractive example of the first Denver Mint Lincoln Cent issue, and a good example why not to immediately dismiss coins certified “Brown”. Glossy purple-brown surfaces with considerable hints of the original Red, and not all that far from to what will certify Red-Brown. Nice bright luster, although like the majority of examples, it has some issue with strike. Although the Reverse is very sharp, the Obverse is less so with the lettering being a bit mushy, and the Mintmark being weakly impressed into the die (a characteristic noted by David Lange in this text on the series). Still better than most specimens in the grade, which tend to be “mud” brown and dull, regardless of strike. As a possible item of interest: the Reverse on this coin is sharply rotated to the West (left), approx. 20 degrees. The second image of the Reverse was rotated to show the approximate orientation and amount of rotation.
