A goodly portion of the original yellow-orange color shows, with mild darkening from minor finger contact, however no fingerprints, spots or stains. Also no "woodgrain" toning from planchet stock problems which are common to this date, and a true Red Brown unlike some others being on the “commercial” basis. Relatively common in circulated condition as the first San Francisco Mint Small Cent due to hoarding, however not so much as a true BU coin with original color. Combined PCGS/NGC population of 373 coins (August, 2020), only 29 CAC.
