A sharp, fully original example of this popular Key Date, which spent a minimal amount of time in circulation. Few if any noticeable marks, just a trace of “rub” and some scuffing. Soft reddish gray toning, a bit darker on the Reverse, likely the “down” side in a coin folder for a number of years. The luster however remains obvious. A note here regarding pricing and the value of a CAC sticker. Currently, there is NO difference between the posted “retail” value for a CAC vs. a non-CAC coin for many dates in the more popularly collected 20th Century series’, such as Buffalo Nickels and Lincoln Cents. The reasons for this are many and varied, and too difficult (and long winded) for me to go into here now - interested parties are free to contact me for my opinion. However, the logic escapes me, given the point behind CAC to start with, and it is my considered professional opinion that some CAC’d coins certainly deserve a premium over “average” specimens.
