An original BU example of the second 1883 design, after CENTS had been added to remove apparent confusion by the public. Some soft generalized scuffing and “hairlines” typical of a coin saved at random, however no significant defects (one very minor stain). Nice color and full luster. Equivalent to what will normally certify MS-62; I will in fact guarantee a certified grade of better than MS-60 should anyone chose to send this in.
