An original BU example of the second 1883 design, after CENTS had been added to remove apparent confusion by the public.  Some light signs of handling (the "freckles" on the Obverse which are from finger contact), some very light scuffs and “hairlines” typical of a coin saved at random, however no significant defects and full luster.  The two small shallow depressions on the Reverse are planchet flakes not contact marks. Equivalent to what will normally certify MS-62; I will in fact guarantee a certified grade of better than MS-60 should anyone chose to send this in.
