1918/7-S Standing Liberty Quarter, PCGS/CAC Fine-15, PQ for Grade
1918/7-S Standing Liberty Quarter, PCGS/CAC Fine-15, PQ for Grade
Certified in an older PCGS holder, Gen 4.4 I believe, early 2000's). An original problem free example, with a much stronger date than is typically found. 55 in the grade at PCGS; NGC shows 43, unhelpfully not broken down between 12 & 15 grades, however I think we can safely assume maybe 75-80 between the services. Only 10 CAC. This is fresh to the CAC Pop, and per their standards is guaranteed to cross at the same grade to their new holder, should you wish to changes services. I have reviewed the last three PCGS/CAC F-15's sold at auction going back to 2021 (four appearances of three distinct coins, so 1/3 of the existing CAC POP prior to stickering this example), and this displays a much stronger date. It may be pride of ownership, but I feel this may have nicer overall surfaces as well. Few if any distinctive marks to use to trace the coin, other than a small mark just to the left of Liberty's crotch area. This displays the typical clashmark of the Eagle's wing behind Liberty's body. While used as a marker of authenticity, some early die state examples do exist without this (I have owned one in the past), so this is one date where certification is almost always a must. For the advanced SLQ cabinet. Please note that due to value, this will require Registered Mail shipping, which is slower delivery time; please take this into account prior to considering a purchase.
