An attractive EF example of this better date. Surprisingly scarce in EF & AU, R-4 in Lawrence’s text on the series. This is due to almost all of the mintage being shipped to the Philippines after the Spanish-American War, to replace the Colonial coinage is use there. The color makes this appear fully original, however the surfaces do show scruffy hairlines, so presumably cleaned a long time ago. Still, a solid example better than most you are likely to find.
