From more than a few inches away, this looks like stone Gem BU coin, and looks 100% original. Close examination with a five power glass will show minor "hairlines" on the Obverse, not from a cleaning in my opinion, but from light mishandling at some point, or just being stored loose in lot of coins. Otherwise, this shows complete luster on both Obverse and Reverse, and NO wear (no luster worn off the high points). The Reverse appears mark free unless you look very hard. The color appears natural and the coin does not appear to have ever been dipped - the luster is lively and rotates freely around the coin, the classic "cartwheel". Overall, typical of what you will find in a certified MS-62 holder (and some at MS-63), but actually with better eye appeal. In my experience most of the MS-62 coins I look at commonly have MORE hairlines and show not only some sort of cleaning, but actual wear. This says much about the commercial nature of third-party grading. Due to the current strictness at PCGS this will not certify in a "normal" holder, but would come back Uncirculated Details. Regardless, an excellent choice for someone who wants a nice, strictly Unc coin for a Type example, and is not worried about "plastic". Offered at the value of an MS-62ish kind of coin. Guaranteed genuine of course, guaranteed in perpetuity, backed by our firms 80 years in the business.
