Very well struck for the date and original, without the common clashmarks seen on this date. The modification of the design in 1854 caused problems with all of the Type Two coins struck 1854 to 1858, with the date and lettering commonly bleeding into the rim (which on these coins is not much too speak of in any case). The only distraction is a patch of odd looking marks just to the left of the star, which appear to be from contact with something at some point. They however are not too visible unless you look for them, as the charcoal gray color mostly hides them.
