Generally stronger around the periphery than usual; this is a chronic problem with this date and the 1921-D Dimes, as noted in Lange.  Signs of a very old light cleaning however the color is good and would be considered more or less normal for the grade. This is likely to still certify in a normal holder if submitted; if so my opinion is VF-25 or 30. Either way a solid circulated example for a mid-grade set.  While it should not need be said, this is guaranteed genuine, backed by our firm’s 80+ years in the business, plus all the industry “garden salad” (PCGS, CAC, NGC, ANACS, ANA, etc., etc.).
