Superb original color, RARE for this date as probably 90% of the BU survivors are Red Uncs saved by the roll and bag. A bit of bright blue right at the Obverse rim, with deep purple-red fading to a yellowish center. The Reverse is a stunning crusty orange at center, with a near perfect ring of purple and blue at the rims. Brighter and with more "pop" than I could possibly image. Purchased from one of the leading dealers in Modern U. S. coinage, who felt he might be able to "massage" this into a 67 holder. Be that as it may, sold for what it is, a very unusual PQ example of this otherwise uber-common date.
