A high end circulated example of this “tweener” date, in the transition period between the very scarce 1869-1872 dates, and the more common (in Indian Cent terms) later 1870’s dates. The color is a bit uneven due to planchet alloy issues, with a streaky Obverse, however a considerable amount of original Red remains.
