An original BU example with soft yellow-gray color, a sign of undisturbed originality. Some soft generalized scuffing and “hairlines” typical of a coin saved at random, however no significant defects (a minor spot or two) and full luster. Equivalent to what will normally certify MS-62; I will in fact guarantee a certified grade of better than MS-60 should anyone chose to send this in. As a side note: this is a minor repunched date (RPD), doubling visible on the ”188” of the date. This is NOT FS-301 so may be an unlisted variety, however it appears to be Flynn RPD-003 (the images in that text show a circulated coin so I was not able to confirm this). Minor enough that I don’t think it addds to the value, but perhaps enhances the “flavor” just a bit.
