HK-894D, Army Life on the Mexican Border, Scarce
$64.00
First World War-era U. S. Army souvenir "good luck" piece, commemorating service along the Mexican border during the 1916 period when Black Jack Pershing was trying to run down Pancho Villa. Part of a series that needs definite expansion of cataloguing, which I hope to work on (anyone with "unlisted" varieties feel free to contact me as I am always interested). Currently listed in the NGC Census in two finishes, Bronze and Gilt; this is the scarcer Gilt version. Extremely Fine to Almost Uncirculated, mild wear, mainly enough to remove the gilt finish from the fields. A tough piece of which I have seen very few, most damaged or corroded.
