HK-420, SH 18-10 ASP, Four Portraits Dollar, a souvenir of the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. Certified NGC MS-63, and a bit undergraded based upon my experience with this HK. Numerous MS-63 certified pieces show obvious "rub" on the four Obverse portraits, thus breaking the Silver-plating. This piece shows only the very tiniest amount of the underlying Bronze color, mainly visible on Teddy Roosevelt's head as a difference in color. This may simply be a thin spot in the antiquing. Otherwise, this shows relatively bright surfaces for an antiqued example, and is very clean. Only 7 examples certified higher at NGC, this is a crackout candidate. NGC recently changed graders for this series, with the result that some grades seem too conservative, and certainly many grades vary widely. As a side note, I found an old listing of mine on ebay from 2017, when there were six MS-63 examples certified - now there are only 10 (including this one), which gives an idea of how tough these really are, given the increase in certifying HK's in the last 7 years. Priced based upon my opinion of value.
