1801 Draped Bust Dollar, Heraldic Eagle, B-4, PCGS/CAC Fine-15, Original Type
B-4/BB-214, a slightly scarcer variety, in a Gen 3.0 Green Label holder. Attractive charcoal-gray surfaces with a hint of red undertones, even a glitter or two of luster around the rims - better yet it appears about as original as a circulated mid-grade example you see now days. VERY scarce with CAC approval: only 3 in the grade across all varieties June, 2023), versus 58 at PCGS and less than 37 NGC. NGC does not distinguish between F-12 and F-15 in their Census; estimating using the percentages at PCGS between the two yields an approx. certified overall Pop of ~70 coins. Interestingly enough, neither service has any attributed B-4's certified in Fine. Underrated as a date and possibly for the variety given current pop numbers. Please note that due to value, this will require Registered Mail shipping, which is slower delivery time. Please take this into account prior to considering a purchase.
