FS-101, Die Pair #1. A nice Red example of this popular late date variety/error. Bright Red Obverse, just a light touch of darkening on the Reverse, likely from some time spent in a coin folder. Luckily, no fingerprints or stains as plague many survivors (just a couple of tiny spots on the Reverse), many of which were plucked out of circulation. Many of the true BU’s that came out of original rolls also show moderate toning in the “bricky Red” range; this is definitely a bit brighter than most. The last really obvious Obverse Doubled Die in my opinion, although there are those that are more scarce/rare.
