I found this coin in a small local coin shop, housed in an ANACS holder - where it came from, who knows. I had this coin featured at the FUN Coin Show that year in the original slab, and as is common even the dealers who looked at it had no clue. I had someone turn it down at $1,300 (what an idiot) - just goes to show that even so-called “professionals” don’t trust their own judgement sometimes. So I crossed it to PCGS and sold later it to a different dealer who specializes in U. S. Half Dollars for $1,900, close to AU money - and he made the offer.
