A very original example of this somewhat under appreciated, lower Mintage date. Certified in an old NGC “Fatty” holder, which is clean and damage free, with a sound hologram. Light toning that is suggestive of long being held in a Treasury bag, as noted by Q. David Bowers, as opposed to toning that might develop in an album. VERY clean for a 63 compared to most I see certified in the 1924 to 1927 dates. Enough coins survived from 1934 & 1935 that the services tend to be a bit tougher on them. Regardless, today’s MS-64 most likely. It might be interesting to send this in to CAC to see if they give it the coveted “gold bean”. I will note however that currently CAC seems to be showing a bias against common coins in assigning any sticker, in my opinion (if you want to know what I think about the matter, give me a call). Side Note: For some reason, both NGC and PCGS placed their hologram labels on the OUTSIDE of their early holders, leaving those on most slabs that have traded a few times scuffed or damaged. It is very tough to find an early NGC holder without a damaged hologram.
