Surprisingly scarce for a common date in Gem BU, due to a typically less-than-ideal strike. Only 2,159 in MS-65 at PCGS, versus 57,000+ for the 1881-S, and almost 9,000 for the 1884-CC - less even than the traditional Key Date 1903-O in fact (2,703)! Sounds like a bit of a sleeper.
