An original example of this Semi Key date, an exception to the general rule that ‘18-S’s are weakly struck and commonly come with muted luster. Very well struck on the Obverse with a bold date, the Reverse die was a bit more worn however not as bad as most '18-S's I see. Very original and correctly graded from the technical standpoint, with flashy luster. The only potential negative is a slight amount of toning around the edge on both sides, the result of being recovered from a misc. group of coins held in a container that left a stain, presumably a can of some sort. Regardless, very difficult to find in this grade range, especially if original - many "AU" specimens I see have been "improved" in hopes of getting them into AU-55 to 58 holders (or worse). As the mild toning/staining might be a bit distracting to some, offered a bit less dear than I might otherwise ask.
