A date that is one of the toughest to locate in the series in AU or better as a Business strike. When I had a PCGS Registry Set of this series, this was one of the “stoppers”. As a result, like for the Key Date 1880, collectors wishing to fill the hole for a date set commonly have to resort to a Proof. This has original surfaces, just slightly “hazy” from long storage in U. S. Mint tissue paper most likely.
