Certified AU-58 in the new CAC grading holder.  This is the first '87-S graded AU-58 by CAC in the new holder.  As of the date of listing, 2/5/24, the online Pop shows the one coin certed. Perhaps no way to prove this of course other than my assertion, however should the buyer wish it I am willing to offer this with a signed letter stating the facts as I know them.  Other than that, an attractive problem free example of this slightly better date, with interesting toning.  A purple-red at the center of the Obverse, with darker blue around the rims. The Reverse shows similar colors, a bit less even overall. Generally smooth, even wear with no significant marks, not a horribly difficult date to find in AU, but not easy when looking like this.  Most coins would have been dipped out to make them “shiny” (or even to pretend they were “Unc”).  Worth a premium I think for the color and originality, if that is your fancy.
