Choice Extremely Fine (EF/AU) with moderately deep, multicolored toning, likely from long storage in a non-numismatic hoard. Undoubtedly originally put aside as a souvenir of the new "odd" Type by a member of the general public. The toning is primarily a reddish-brown with deep sea green and brighter red highlights on the Obverse, a bit more blue and orange on the more protected Reverse. Heavy die clash on the Reverse within the shield on the Eagle's chest, common to this series (this is not damage). An interesting alternative choice for an example for Type.
